Hospitality Renovation Project
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Ensure LRCC students have a preeminent training facility aimed at preparing them for the high-demand careers of the hospitality industry. Please help support Lakes Region Community College’s efforts to complete our Hospitality Renovation Project.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Hospitality Renovation Project is a three-phased remodeling venture to provide classroom space on campus for our hospitality programs. When completed the project will result in two state-of-the-art teaching laboratories, a dining facility and refrigeration and storage space.
Phase one, our first teaching lab, began in January 2019 and was completed in August utilizing $150,000 in capital funds. Classes began this fall term and since then students have been utilizing the new space with pride and renewed enthusiasm.
Phase two will allow LRCC to create a second teaching laboratory and storage areas, to serve our Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, and Hotel and Restaurant Operations programs students.
Phase three will renovate spaces into a dynamically designed dining and meeting facility. Phases two and three are ready for implementation as soon as funding is secured with a target completion date of August 2020.
LRCC applied for and received a $189,000 grant (Northern Borders Regional Commission Economic and Infrastructure Development Investment Program) to complete Phases Two and Three of the renovation project. In order to receive this grant, LRCC must match 50% of the project. We are committed to contributing a portion of the required match with in-kind funds, however; we will need additional support from our industry and community partners to achieve the required match.
HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP.
As a non-profit educational institution serving our local community, we depend upon enrollment, assistance from the legislature, and support from our local business and industry partners to successfully operate. Our mission is to continue to provide qualified graduates to live and work in the Lakes Region and State of New Hampshire. Your donation will help us fulfill this mission and continue serving your needs for qualified and skilled workers. We will not be able to complete our renovations without the support of our partners. Please consider donating today.
