It’s a resounding success story out of Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) as the inaugural class of Paramedic students celebrates a remarkable achievement: every single graduate passed their National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician exams this fall, officially earning their stripes as certified Paramedics.

In a time when the demand for skilled emergency responders is soaring, LRCC stepped up to the plate, answering the call for well-trained Paramedics with their newly launched Paramedic Program. Supported generously by local and state champions of emergency response, LRCC paved the way for these students’ success.

“We’re immensely proud of our paramedics and deeply grateful for the unwavering support we’ve received. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our local, state, and federal partners. Their mentorship at clinical and field sites has been invaluable in shaping our students into the skilled professionals they are today”, said Patrick Cate, Interim President of LRCC.

Echoing Cate’s sentiments, Todd Robinson, Lead Instructor at LRCC, shares his excitement for the graduating cohort. “Witnessing this group not only graduate but excel in their roles as Paramedics, making significant contributions to their communities, is incredibly gratifying. From fire departments to private EMS services and hospital settings, they’re leaving a lasting impact on every avenue of paramedic service.”
