Explorations in Printmaking takes a look at a variety of printmaking techniques and the unique possibilities that they provide. This workshop will introduce monotypes, collagraphs, and relief prints, as well as the materials and tools used to create them.
Experimenting with these processes, students of all backgrounds will explore 2D design, pattern, and personal expression.
Instructor: Jim Locke
Mr. Locke has been an adjunct professor in Fine Arts at Lakes Region Community College for twelve years. He has been teaching Fine Arts courses for 55 years, including Figure Drawing, Clay Sculpture, and Ceramics and has worked as an actor in summer and winter stock, and as a theatre designer for theatre groups. Mr. Locke graduated from Plymouth State College and continued to do graduate work at Plymouth. He has won numerous awards and has been represented in many private art collections.
